🚚 Don’t Rent the U-Haul Just Yet!
I get it, the offer came in, you signed, the “Under Contract” sign is up, and it feels so good. You’re already mentally packing boxes, labeling kitchen drawers, and scrolling Pinterest for decorating ideas in your next place.
But before you go renting that U-Haul or bribing your friends with pizza and moving boxes, let’s take a deep breath together. 🧘♀️
Here’s the truth: your buyer still has a 10-day due diligence period, which means they can cancel the contract for any reason during that time after the inspection, before financing, or simply because Mercury decided to go retrograde. (It happens.)
The inspection hasn’t even happened yet, and while we’re optimistic and yes, we’re just as excited as you are patience is a virtue in real estate. Jumping ahead too soon could have you halfway out the door before we’re certain the sale is truly locked in.
So hang tight! Keep those boxes folded and the tape dispenser nearby, but maybe hold off on loading the truck for a couple more weeks. I promise I’ll keep you updated every step of the way and when it’s really time to rent that U-Haul, I’ll be the first to hand you the keys (and maybe a slice of pizza). 🍕
